BioSet® DBM Paste is demineralised bone matrix with a porcine gelatin carrier that is used to fill bone voids and defects caused by trauma or surgery. BioSet® DBM is most commonly used in surgeries of the spine, joint reconstruction, joint revision, trauma, oncology procedures and extremity surgeries.

All of our DBM solutions have  verified osteoinductive potential through to shelf life, are water insoluble to resist migration, easy to shape and mould to fit the bone void and sterilised to SAL 10-6.

BioSet® DBM Paste also meets the following convenience and handling specifications;

  • Can be hydrated with saline, water or blood 

  • Can be re-warmed to achieve softer consistency if desired 

  • Sets after 10 minutes

 

 

 

 

 

Suitable for larger bony defects and the surgeon who prefers to handle, mix, shape and pack DBM into place.

  • Easily molded to fill the bone void

  • Provided freeze-dried (FD) or frozen (FZ)

  • Can be hydrated with fluid of choice

  • Sets once implanted to maintain shape and consistency

  • Water insoluble to resist migration during irrigation

  • Easy to shape and mould

  • Available with or without the addition of cortical-cancellous chips for an optimised osteoconductive scaffold

  • Easily mixed with autograft or allograft

 

Suitable for more precise DBM dispensation into narrower, deeper cavities; and the surgeon who prefers the consistency and neatness offered by syringe mixing.

  • Easily extruded into the surgical site

  • Provided freeze-dried (FD) or frozen (FZ)

  • Can be hydrated with fluid of choice

  • Sets once implanted to maintain shape and consistency

  • Water insoluble to resist migration during irrigation

  • Easy to shape and mould 

  • Easily mixed with autograft or allograft

 

 

Full and partial discs offer consistency and convenience and are ideal for packing into defects.  

  • Provided frozen (FZ)

  • Can be hydrated with fluid of choice

  • Sets once implanted

  • Water insoluble to maintain integrity during irrigation

  • Easy to shape and mould

  • Easily mixed with autograft or allograft
